Have you ever fainted? I never have, but it seems pretty scary watching it happen....I imagine it would be even scarier if it happened to you. I am bringing this subject up because just yesterday during our winter concert at school a little girl fainted in the middle of the program (she was standing on the risers in the front row) and landed smack on her face. The poor thing! The entire audience got very quiet and we all stood there horrified....many teachers ran to her assistance but she was out for a few minutes before she regained consciousness.
Another time I was at a rally for George W Bush a few days before the last election (and no...I am not a huge fan) and they brought out all these speakers/celebrities to get the crowd going before the President arrived. One of the girls who had been speaking (not sure who she was) fainted right during Bush's speech....and she was very close to the podium so it was very obvious to the entire stadium.
Just curious if any of you have ever fainted and if you remembered it happening or what you felt like before you went down? I have felt nauseaous plenty of times, but how do you know if it might make you faint???
I am probably weird for even writing a post like this!
So anyway...I went to that Bush rally because a friend of mine got me a VIP ticket. His wife is a sign-language interpreter and he thought he'd be able to get me in to meet the President...or at least shake his hand. I had to go through high-tech security for this opportunity, but when else might I ever meet a President of the US?? Well, I didn't get to meet him, but I did touch his arm as he walked by me after the Rally! What a great pic this is, huh??!!
And that concludes my Brush with Bush! LOL
Have a great weekend :)
Oh this was a funny picture. I have never completely fainted, but I used to have spells when I would feel very dizzy and almost ready to faint when I was pregnant...it only happened a few times during the first trimester. I have seen a client of ours faint during his hearing once. That was scary. But it showed he wasn't lying about his fainting spells!

I fainted once for about thirty seconds. I had just had a not-so-fun medical procedure done, and I was standing for the first time afterwards...good thing a nurse was holding onto me. She waved smelling salts under my nose, and that was that. All I remember was feeling like I was going to pass out...lol. Just dizzy, and then a nasty smell! My girlfriend fainted after we got our belly buttons pierced...scared the crap outta me!

Nope I've never fainted. My sister has done it a couple of times but only when she is about to have a shot, she's not really good with needles.

LOL! I've had a "brush" with someone famous too...the announcer guy for the footballs games, John Madden. I was at a Packers Football Camp and he was there and walked by me....his arm was all sweaty, and well, my arm was then sweaty too! LOL! EW!

Yep...I've fainted. I was in highschool and my mom and I went shopping in another town. I had been feeling kind of like I was coming down with something all day. Anyway we were up at the counter paying for something and I started feeling VERY dizzy and VERY nauseous. My mom was arguing with the cashier because she wouldnt' let me use the employee bathroom (I thought I was going to puke right then and there!). I remember leaning my head on my mom's shoulder and getting tunnel vision and the next thing I knew I was on the floor on my back. Ouch. I hit my head kind of hard when I fell back on the floor but other than that I was okay. My mom called my doctor when we got home but he told her to just watch me that it's common for teenage girls to have a fainting spell or that maybe it was just my body's way of fighting of a bug of some kind. It was scarey though!

I've fainted several times. I fainted at work behind my till and the customers had to help me, this time I fainted because I hadn't eaten breakfast. I fainted in Higschool in the hallway and my cousine caught me, I fainted because I had just had my Hep B shot and I'm terrified of needles. I also fainted in University during our presentations class, the gal was talking about getting her wisdom teeth out and boom I fainted and fell out of my chair right in the middle of class (how embarassing!). I can't handle an y kind of medical talk, blood, needles, operations, etc)
You don't even know you are going to lose consciousness, well I don't anyways ... then when you wake up you feel very lightheaded and ill.

Awesome pic! lol.
I had a fainting/iron issue for a while a few years back. I always knew if I was going to faint. Maybe not for minutes but at least for a few seconds. You're all "What the heck is going on?"WHAM. I turned all white (totally lost ALL the color in my face) and felt really hot. Also when looking around the room I was all, "That isnt supposed to be that color! Why is the wooden bookcase purple??" Good times.
