Monopoly.....its a classic game. Been around since 1935. Some facts I found on the Hasbro website:
- Over 200 million games have been sold worldwide.
- More than five billion little green houses have been "built" since 1935.
- A set made by my friends at Alfred Dunhill, with gold houses and silver hotels, sold for $25,000.
- The longest game in history lasted 70 straight days.
- The longest game in a bathtub lasted 99 hours!
How many of you either play this game or played it frequently while growing up?
Not me!
I think the concept of the game is good and I have played it a few times while growing up, but I honestly do not remember one single time that I played this game until it was completely over. Takes too effin long. Is that hard to believe or what??? I love almost all games, but I just do not have the patience for this particular game!!!!
I guess I am bringing this up because we went to Jeff & Toni's house on Saturday night for Toni's bday, and they had a group of people playing. Actually, everyone BUT me played. Jeff and his brother take this game very seriously and have been playing for eight million years. Made me laugh at how serious they took it! Someone was even was like, "Hey, I should have brought my own Monopoly Hot Wheels piece". Yes....you can even get custom playing pieces. Some people are sooooo particular about what token they use, etc. I think it is funny! Wondered if any of you are Monopoly players or what!?

Still hurting. Still swollen. Pretty darned bruised from knee to foot. These pics didn't come out very well, but you get the idea. Walking is hard to do and my whole body hurts:( My range of motion has a long way to go before I am normal again too. About 7 more weeks. Glad I still have 3 1/2 more weeks until I have to go back to work....I need the time to recover!
Tried to drive today for the first time today because I had to go to the Dr.....its VERY hard to get into my little car. So don't be surprised to see me driving E's big truck instead!
Hung out with Cassie last night. Great to spend time with her! We watched House of 1000 Corpses (Rob Zombie) which was totally disturbing and then Guess Who? with Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. Man, Ashton is sooo stinkin cute! And I totally love funny guys. Bernie Mac cracks me up too.
Got these beautiful cards in the mail from Maria and Sarah. Thank you so much ladies, I love them!
Looking forward to scrapping and hanging with some of my girls the rest of the week while my man is up north working We Fest!
Take it easy girl! I too LOVE Aston! HE IS cute!!!! I loved him in the movie where he was taking pics....something like love or a lot like love? can't remember the name of it... Did you know that the Eruopean version of monopoly has DEBIT cards instead of cash? My daughter (the oldest) told me a few weeks ago. She LOVES the game, and it can last forever, so I normally just buy everything I can when I am FORCED to play so I can loose! LOL

Kristi, please take it easy with that knee. It's still so swollen and bruised. Are you going to be going to physical therapy? That will help with your range of motion and movement. It's good you're getting out of the house though. when I was out last year with my surgery, I though I was going to go nuts being stuck inside the house. I am going to make you a card or tag when I go on my vacation. But know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.
Bernie Mac is hilarious and so is Ashton. I'll have to check out that movie.
I'm not much of a game person though, but when I play I enjoy it. I'm terrible at cards though. Not so bad at board games.

I'm no big Monopoly player, either...I can play it like once every ten years, and then I'm good! :-) Owie on the bruises, hope your continued recovery goes well!!! OH...and don't forget to rub Vitamin E into the scars when it heals...it'll totally help the scars fade faster!

1. I actually like monopoly...but you must set a time limit. Games can go way too long.
2.your knees looks actually better than I thought it might look...though I didn't think about your foot/ankle being bruised as well! :( Take it easy though, relax for these next few weeks before returning to school!
3. awww...get well mail love from your CJ girls! :) Glad you liked it! I made it all purple cause I know it's your favorite! :)

You know I love monopoly. Brian and I used to play growing up, and almost always ended in a fight.
Erick is working at We Fest? What is he doing? My friend Tyler went up there last night, and will be camping the whole time.

Holy oWWWWWness! That looks like it hurts!! I've played monopoly until the end before. The easiest thing to do is start buying hotels and bankrupt people who keep landing on the property!! I like the game of life better for some reason!
