PSA: Database with personal information

I saw the following message on Scrapjazz this morning.  And this is NOT A JOKE.  I am a little freaked out at how much information about me is out there and all of you should be too!  People can actually buy your background report for $50.  Horrible!!!! Scary!!!!!

(names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates). (Soc. Sec. is available for a price.) The database is found at http://www.zabasearch.com/ type in your name and check...
I urge you to forward this information to family and friends. Check to see if your name and information is in their database. If so and you want it removed, send them an e-mail at [email protected] to request it be removed. I do not know how our names are appearing there, but I checked my own and a few other random ones and they are all in this database!
After opting out by email, check back after a few days to make certain your information has been removed. If it has not been removed then file a complaint with your State's Attorney General.

That is totally crazy. I'm not there at all, just other women with the same name (had no idea my name was so popular), but some family members are!!!! Thanks for the heads up!

They have caught up to me yet, the address is a little old, as well as the number. I'm not going to pay to do a background check though. Kinda scary, good think I'm a boring nobody. :D

This is NOT the only site like this, there are a ton more with the same info. Peoplesearch has the same stuff and anyone can buy a background check these days, some for only $29.95.

This is crazy. I checked it a while ago and all the info was old but now my CURRENT info(address) is there and I am beyond PISSED.
