I will be back to work!!!!
Normally at this time of the summer I have only had 2-3 weeks off and not quite ready to be back, but not this year. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a lazy-ass for the past 9 weeks, but I am more than ready to get back to work. To the kiddos, and to my paycheck!!!!! The hardest thing about going back is going to be adjusting to an earlier sleep schedule. No more sleeping in as late as I want (which is fine with me, as I think sleeping is a waste of time (although necessary!)
The past week or so has been rainy and cold, almost like the end of September instead of August. We need as much rain as we can get here, so I hate to complain about it, but I had plans to go to a Pow-wow down in Shakopee with Kara and her husband this weekend and we had to cancel because it was just too wet. Big bummer, as we had been looking forward to that for months.
I've been watching many movies lately, since it has been perfect movie weather. I also finished my 1,000 piece puzzle that I started a few weeks ago (gotta love the portable puzzle cases they have out now :)
My spoiled cats got a little more spoiled this past week. I thought that if they got a few more special cat beds, they would be less likely to sleep on the sofa. So far, so good!
I had planned to spend the day today cleaning and getting ready for visitors from out-of-town, but I just found out about five minutes ago that they can no longer come. Big bummer, I had many fun things planned to do with them, including the MN State Fair, which starts this Thursday. Gonna enjoy my last week off anyway!
OMG. I love that tent! :)
Newton totally needs one of those!

ahh summer coming to an end. I have to say as a student I hated this time of year but now as a parent, I have my dancing shoes ready to go on Tuesday morning at 8:05am. :) Now I get excited about this time of year, not only cause my son is starting a new experience but I love Fall/Winter and it's just around the corner.
