I haven't done a random post in quite some time, have I?
Here goes:
**After nearly 2 1/2 years of blogging, I currently have 580 posts and 2,992 comments. According to my calculations, that is an average of 5.16 comments per post. Obviously not all posts are created equal; some get a ton and some get none. I am going to follow my pal Nicole's Comment-Seeking Advice and ask more questions and opinions. I am also going to recognize/reward those of you who already comment. Such as ADRIENNE, who has to be the world's most faithful blog reader/commenter. She reads probably 500 blogs a day and always leaves everyone a comment! Adrienne, you know I love you girl and each and every one of your comments is noticed :) Other regular commenters that I wanted to give a shout-out to are Michelle, Kim, Nicole, Leslie, Greta, Simone, Andrea, Dana, Dana, Rolana, Sarah, Val, and Lesfitz. I totally agree with this other post of Nic's where she talks about how one-sided blogging can be and everyone knows everything about you, but they don't share back of themselves (unless they are a fellow blogger). I can't tell you how many of my real-life friends tell me they read this blog all the time, yet only a handful of you actually leave me comments. I have turned the word verification off, so hopefully that will make it a little easier.
**Went back to work today. Started the morning at my new school, didn't know a single soul. I hate that! Good thing I make friends easily and people seemed pretty friendly...I hate being the new girl. I went to my other school for the afternoon and it was great to be back! The new principal seems like a great guy and I am looking forward to the school year. Setting up the classroom is kind of a PITA right now because all of my teaching stuff (2 schools worth) is at my old school, boxed up. Apparently the building was painted over the summer but they have only gotten through half the rooms, and mine still needs to be done. So it is pointless to unpack it until they finish it later this week. My new school has absolutely nothing, so I have to decide what all I am going tot bring over there once I unpack all the goods and go through it. Did I mention that there is no A/C in these buildings???????? Yucky humidity!!
**Have you ever wondered what goes through the mind of a mother of six? Wonder no more, check out this funny blog!! She became famous after posting this item on eBay (I found the link on Christy's blog). Wow, 6 kids!
**Speaking of kids, I have so many pregnant friends right now! First we have Cora due beginning of Sept, then Aimee mid-Sept, Shannon Sept 30, Leslie Oct 4, Kara Nov 3rd, Laura Feb 18th, Michelle April 10th. I probably forgot about a few, not to mention those I might not know about yet! It seemed like there were so many 9-month-pregnant women at the Fair the other day too!
**Speaking of the Fair, check out these foods you might not find anywhere other than the Mn State Fair
And SPAM curds??!!
***I am effin TIRED right now!!!!!! I took a decongestant at 11pm last night and laid awake all night long (but I sure could breathe good!).
**I have a feeling that the worst of my headaches (the ones that last for 3 days straight) are hormone related. They show up at the same time as other unpleasantries. Does that happen to anyone else??
**Check out this presentation. Really makes you think about the technological world and how it impacts the future....
*** Have ya'll heard that Jeff got his wish and Chipotle is coming to Roseville???? Its true!! I think we all need to give Jeff some credit for making this happen. His letters to Chipotle may have been the spark that was needed.
Alright, that is probably enough randomness for one post!
ROFLOL!!! Girl you know i love you and I do not read 500 blogs....well maybe lol, btu I only comment on a select few! LOL

You gotta comment if you want comments I guess! Hopefully you can get your stuff unpacked at school so you can actually be productive. Gotta love when they aren't even ready, how are you supposed to prepare! Have fun at your new school!

Good luck at your new school.
Have a great week.
I agree with the whole commenting thing. I love having comments knowing I am not writing my blog just for myself.

I have been the world's worst at keeping up with commenting lately. I'm still ready, tho! :-) Oh, and I give...what the heck is hotdish on a stick???

I have never heard of Chipoltes. I don't think we have any in Michigan.? Is it like a glorified Taco Bell?
Posted by: Kelly | August 28, 2007 at 08:21 AM
mmmmm...Chipotle!
Not even 10am and now I want a burrito!
Onesided blogging gets a little boring and you start to think, "wow, maybe they read something they didn't like?" lol
I feel for ya with the heat, my little guy is not looking forward to returning to school next week with the heat...yuck!

500 blogs! I could never find the time. LOL I try to comment when I can Kristi, I know you appreciate comments. =)
Hot Dish on a stick?! Did you try it??? Think I'm going to skip the State Fair this year, going to opt for Ren Fest instead this year.
~Good Luck with your new schools!~
I know we been saying it allll summer now, but we need to get together for dinner sometime. Hopefully before Christmas?! LOL

k I don't envy you one bit on being the new girl...I hate that. It's something I experience every time we move to a new Air Force base...it sucks big time. So good luck in making friends with fellow faculty. Also good luck in dealing with no A/C for the remainder of the summer heat! I'd be pluggin' in major fans!
regarding your headaches...if you notice it always at the same time of the month maybe near AF time...talk to your doctor. I had the same problems for a while and it was that I was getting too much estrogen in my BC pills. Switched to something different and viola...relief!

Wow! 580 posts. I tried to start a blog, but couldn't keep up with it. I don't know how you do it. Same with Scrapbooking! I haven't scrapped in over a year! I'm definately falling WAY behind! I'm glad you're back at work. Stay cool without the AC!
xoxo
