Especially when you sleep half of it away. I have gotten much more sleep than usual this weekend, yet I still feel groggy. I had high hopes of getting more of my final projects for school finished, but laid around most of the weekend instead. My body always tells me when its had enough. Getting sick this week was a big sign!
I watched more movies than usual the past few days:
- Mr. Brooks
- Ratatoille
- Closer
- Fantastic 4
Also read a couple of good memoirs the past few weeks. Will review those sometime this week.
A friend made dinner tonight with some fresh venison of a young doe he caught with his bow & arrow. He cooked up the tenderloins and the backstraps, seasoned with yellow onions, garlic and bacon. It was the most tender and delicious steak I have ever had, (beef or otherwise!) I never would have known it was deer if they hadn't told me.
I know some people who wouldn't ever even try deer meat, or get grossed out at the thought of eating wild game. Regardless, it seems much more gratifying to eat a meal that you caught yourself than one you had to pay a lot of money for! I am not a hunter, though. I have my own opinions about hunting and I want to explore it further. I have had "hunting" as a topic on my Thought for Thursday list of ideas, so I am going to pick that one this week. I will refer back to this post when I do :)
It is now time for me to get to bed. Waking up at 6am tomorrow and staying late for an important staff meeting might be kind of tough. I am still not feeling great.
I hope everyone else enjoyed their long holiday weekend :)
hope you are getting to feeling better!

I'm glad you're feeling better. Take care of yourself! Your body must have really needed that rest.

I wouldn't eat deer! I'm not a hunting advocate, I've got a lot of opinions about it! I won't talk about it though.
