A Million Thanks (for making my day so special!)

I think yesterday was one of the best birthdays I have ever had, from the very moment I woke up.  A big part of what made it so special are ALL the people who remembered and sent me well wishes!!  I am seriously overwhelmed with gratitude :)  Its hard not to have a great day when so many people are thinking of you and letting you know it. The cards, e-mails, messages and phone calls came in faster than I could ever imagine.  Funny thing is, I never said a word about my birthday to anyone I work with, including my students.  It was like this wonderful secret I was keeping all day.
Another reason it was so great is that I have been in great spirits for the past couple of weeks leading up to my big day, very unlike the past two years on my birthday (two years ago I was attending a funeral out of town and then last year I was just getting over a miserable bout of influenza).
I had dinner at my favorite local Thai restaurant and even the owner bought me dinner!

Thanks for making me feel so special!

As you get older. All we want is to be remembered ! The gifts can be a bonus. But the well wishes, happy birthdays and others thinking of you on the day of your birth seems to mean more! It is very nice to hear that it came true for you this year ! And hopefully every day of the year! You are very kind and sweet to so many.
