Anyone who knows me knows that I wear fun, funky jewelry every single day. I am especially partial to necklaces. Unfortunately none of my big, funky necklaces fit in my large jewelry chest, so this is my current mode of storage: 20-some necklaces hung over the knobs on my closet
I have searched high and low for the perfect way to organize them, but I haven't found anything yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
Well, you could always buy like a little jacket hanger thing..ya know with hooks, and hang them there....one with like 5 hooks on it or something. That way they're all in one spot, clearly visible and not all crammed together....just a thought. I've only got 3 "big" necklaces and they hang on my lamp switch:)

You could get a niceer standy uppy toilet paper holder and put the necklaces where the roll of toiler paper is supposed to go.

I've seen cute shadow boxes with hooks inside (and of course no glass). Then they're kind of on display/looks like 'art'.
Or, you could find a cute key rack (or four, with the number of big necklaces you have!) that have a number of hooks. You could hang the key rack on the wall in your bedroom and the necklaces hang down off of that.
I can e-mail you photos of these ideas if you want 'em. :)

I have a dresser that has doors that open. So I screwed in little hooks on the inside of the doors. Or you could get a stand up jewerly box that has these hooks on a wheel that spin (by hand) and would hang like they do on your knobs. Or in the second room where you keep your stuff. You could buy little hooks and pick a spot in the room to hang them. OR you could go to Michaels or Jo-Ann fabrics and get a unfinished wood rack that has pegs to hang them ! OR they have a turn style thing for guys to hang their ties in the closet. You could convert that into a place to hang your necklaces! Good luck!!!

In high school I had tons of necklaces and I kept them on a rack like this.

No help here... mine look just like yours. I have one of those 10x30ish mirrors above my dresser that has the coat hooks on them and I have all my necklaces nad bracelets on those 5 hooks.

I've been starting a collection for myself but I do have a nice jewelry box and don't have nearly as many as you do! I'm having a Lia Sophia jewelry party (my sister sells it) on June 20th so mark your calendar! I night of jewelry and the girls!

I have one of those stand-up boxes with the spinny wheels. But I don't like it because you can't just hang a necklace over ONE of the hooks (or else it drags on the bottom of the case). So I end up overlapping hooks and things get tangled. Not good.
But I have to say that I, too, have a thing for necklaces. I love big, funky, no-one-else-has-this pieces. Where do you find most of yours? I love World Market's selection!

I have the same problem as you. I have around 80 different necklaces and I have tried multiple things and none it seems like the right solution. I have used ties racks and one particular tie rack that was installed on the bar in the closet that was battery powered and had a light on it so I would push the button and they would all rotate until I found the one I wanted. I just didn't like the fact the necklaces were in the closet. Currently I have my necklaces all on the little utility hooks/key hooks but they are sitting on a table and I haven't actually put it on the wall because I can't find the correct place. I also bought a storage basket for $2 that is shallow and just laid them in there and put it by my jewelry box. I hope you find the right solution for you!
