"Where have you been? It's like you fell off the face of the earth"
This is the comment that my BFF Kim left me yesterday.
I am still here, my friends, I am just enjoying my short summer vacation. These are the very few short weeks of the year that I actually allow myself to RELAX. Its not something I know how to do very well, but once I get into relaxation mode, I let go of a lot of things and become lazy. Like L-A-Z-Y. I haven't worn a watch in almost 4 weeks, because time just isn't as important. I am also notorious for missing phone calls and I am bad about returning them. (I suppose turning the ringer ON would be helpful, instead of having the phone sitting in my purse on vibrate, huh?!)
I have watched a million movies in the past couple of weeks, something that I rarely ever do otherwise. Unfortunately I no longer have a TV in my living room (where I usually hang out) until I buy a new one, so I have not watched one single minute of the Olympics. I feel bad about it too, because watching the Summer Olympics was always one of my favorite things as a kid, especially the gymnastics. Have I missed anything good?? I guess I will have to hang out in the basement if I want to watch any of it!!
I am still reading Twilight and enjoying it so far. I am not a slow reader, but I am not the type of person who can sit down and read an entire book in one day. I read in spurts when I get a chance.
I have not scrapped a single thing in the past 4 months except for what I accomplished on my girls scrapbooking weekend in June. I haven't had any photos printed in a few months and haven't gotten any new products to get me motivated. The new issue of Creating Keepsakes has some cool layouts that I might lift when I do get the motivation.
I have been working on restaurant reviews a lot lately. Its great when restaurants are starting to offer me free meals just so they can be featured on Twin Cities Restaurant Blog. I will rarely pass up a nice, free meal!
I wanted to also point you in the direction of a couple of my girlfriends who are also semi-new to the blogging world, Dana and Ang. I just love it that more of my friends are blogging now! And it is also awesome how many people are now on Facebook, three of my very good friends (who happened to be resistant to Facebook for the longest time) just signed up this week. Makes me happy!
Okay, I hate long posts without photos, so I am signing off!
Well at least I get to see you Friday. It's about time.

Good for you! You are so busy the rest of the year, why not take some time to just enjoy life. And that is so cool about the resturant blog and the free meals that are coming your way because of it! Who knows, maybe a little side gig that pays will come your way as well!
I have not watched nearly as much of the Olympics as I want to - usually a half-hour or so after the kids go to bed. The swimming has been VERY exciting. I have caught bits and pieces of the gymnastics and beach volleyball - it is neat to see the Americans, but I haven't really gotten into it.

It is Good to have Fun and relax on your time off. We must be the same way, I also have a hard time relaxing. I feel so guilty that I'm not getting anything accomplished. But, you need it every now and then.
Also, way to go on your restaurant Blog. I looked at it the other day and it made me SO HUNGRY!!!! :)

Just two things
1. Your BFF is Helmey not Kim…
2. You might be a communist for not watching the Olympics…
Thank you…
