The first day of school was a good one. So far I only have one big class of 6th graders at the beginning of the day, the rest of my groups will start next week.
Do you remember me complaining about the mess the former teacher left me to deal with? I have turned my new room into a much more comfortable, clean space!
It won't be long before the walls are covered with student artifacts and charts from our mini lessons.
Call me crazy, but I kind of wish I would've applied to get into a graduate Educational Leadership program starting this fall. I could probably crack it out in about two years, but I think it is too late to start this semester. Something i am thinking about and need to look into further :)
I wanna US map rug!!!!

Your classroom looks Great! So, clean and organized. Much different than what you were left with.
I think that would be the funnest part of being a teacher setting up shop. Hey, maybe I could be a mobile classroom setter upper. haha :O

Well, I don't know what your room looked like before, but it looks great now. Good luck this year! As for your thoughts on the graduate program, let us know if you do something with it. If you're thinking about it now, you should do it while you can! : )
