Normally "Revenge" isn't something I would blog about, but after hearing about the "Dirty Deeds" contest on a local radio station this morning, I figured it might be a good TFT. This contest involves sending in your stories about acts you have committed for revenge and the winner will be awarded with AC/DC tickets. I heard a couple of the stories, things like the guy who was mad at his girlfriend and swapped her toothbrush with the dog's, or the guy who slept with his girlfriend's mother after she cheated on him first . I tried to find a link to the stories on the radio's website but couldn't locate it. To read other stories of revenge, check out Top 10 Stories of Revenge.
Obviously there are a lot of people who seek out revenge because it makes them feel better (and some people definitely deserve to have bad things coming to them) . I am not at all a revengeful person, probably because I am pretty laid back and would rather have a problem just disappear, or try to forgive. There have only been a few times in my life when the idea of revenge snuck into my mind and only once did I act on it and it was something pretty harmless.
Have there been moments in your life that you let anger guide you into seeking revenge? Do you feel the need to even the score if someone does you wrong?? If not, what strategies do you use to keep your cool? If you have committed acts of revenge or know of any stories, please feel to leave an anonymous comment and share the details!!

Actually, no. There was a time when I held grudges, but that didn't extend into wanting revenge for something. I can't say never, but I honestly can't remember a time in my entire life where I thought, "REVENGE! REVENGE I TELL YOU!"
I don't even know what that feels like. Must be exhausting.

I once had a couple of girlfriends who got in a fight....one of the girls stole the other's new driver's license out of the mail and never gave it back. The one girl still has no idea why her license supposedly "never came in the mail"

I have been mad at a person before but never enough to plot out revenge on them. Although, I do believe in Karma.
Crazy stories though! I'm glad I never pissed any of those people off.

I just let karma get them back for me.

I can't think of anything I did to seek revenge on someone. I know I have thought about it, but I've never gone through with anything. I do hold one heck of a grudge though.

I hold grudges... big time, thought I am getting better the older I get. In a sense that might be deemed a form of revenge, I suppose. I don't actively seek out a way to hurt or get even with someone, but I surely never forget!

i've contemplated it but never really followed through. I'm a grudge holder but I'm working on letting it go and letting someone higher up take care of it for me

there has never been a time when i have seeked (what's the right grammar there?) revenge, but i do think there are some people that should pay for things they've done... i commented once on your facebook about teachers at my high school who beat their daughter, my friend. i to this day think they should pay. they should be held accountable. it's incredulous that everyone either 1) didn't know or worse, 2) looked the other way.

I don't generally hold grudges or plot revenge. I admit that when someone really pisses me off (that's pretty rare though) I may hold a grudge, but I've never been offended so badly to want revenge on someone. Now, people who do terrible things definitely deserve an eye for an eye.

I am coming up blank at the moment, but I know that I have taken the revenge route a few times...
And this might not be considered revenge but it is fun. When someone usually under the same roof bugs you try this: go into the kitchen and open all the cupboards (drawers optional) all the way, turn the light out and walk out or leave like I do. I don't know why but it really pushes some buttons on people! lol
