Just finished reading The Scandalous Summer of Sissy Leblanc. Pretty good, fast read. Now what should I read? Summer has begun and I am pretty much of out adult books that I haven't already read, although I did bring a couple of good young-adult Newbery Medal books home from school. I know I can get through each of those in just a day or so, so I am looking for recommendations for good summer reads.

I would be willing to swap books with anyone who is interested, if you
have a book you want to send me. Just take a peek at the books in my
sidebar so you can see what I have already read and what kind of books
I like and if there is anything you might be interesting in swapping
for :)
My suggestion is that you get anything Ilona Andrews and dive in. You have three books in her Kate series to get read before her 4th one comes out in September, and she's starting a new series with a character named Rose right about that same time. Plus, she has an e-short story out at Samhain Publishers (online) right now. No waiting.

The potato peel society is on my list, I don't know when will actually get it or get to it. I'm reading The Beach by Alex Garland right now. I also have Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld, Bel Canto by Ann Patchett, Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, and a couple others that I received from the paper back swap.com. I'm glad I singed up for that. I just need to find time to get reading or not read so many magazines.

I recently blogged about "The Way the Crow Flies" by Anne MacDonald. She also wrote "Fall on Your Knees", which is excellent. My book club is currently reading "Year of Living Biblically : One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible"; and just last night my husband stumbled upon this spoof of Eat, Pray, Love, which I think sounds hilarious http://www.amazon.com/dp/0802170528/?tag=coolmaterial-20
I own "Fall on Your Knees", "Angels and Demons", and "My Sister's Keeper" if you'd like to swap for any of those.

On that list, I have read "The Shack" and I really enjoyed it.

I just finished #12, Love the One You're With. I really liked it and bought all of her other books and am reading one right now. It's total chic literature so I'm not sure if that's your thing but I couldn't put it down.

You should definitley read all 4 books by Emily Giffin. Also, Janet Evanovich's new book, Finger Lickin' Fifteen is coming out in a few days--can't miss Ms. Plum! Right now I am reading Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea by Chelsea Handler and it's hilarious. I also just read a couple cute books by Sarah Addison Allen--very lite and easy reading, but fun beach reads! Hope this helps a little, and happy reading! :)
