Christmas!
Only 21 days to go, so I thought I'd better make a new banner for the holidays and change up the colors. This gorgeous photo was taken by xk8jag2000 at Flickr.
My friend Jessie sent this to me in an e-mail and thought it would be fun to post! Feel free to use :)

Now if only I could get in the mood to do some of my holiday shopping!
Still haven't made my wish list, but I am working on it! I have spent so much money on myself in the past few weeks with the Cricut, new computer and new vehicle, I almost feel guilty asking for anything else!
Hey all!
I am making a few changes to the blog again!
Made myself this new banner and changed the color scheme. I found the photo by searching Flickr, under "Japanese Gardens". WOW, so many gorgeous photos there! This specific photo was taken by Seanagentry. Great stuff!
Did you all know that I can check the stats of this blog? ( Of course you other bloggers do!) One thing that is a fact is that there are an average of 110 visitors day. That's amazing!
Sometimes I know which site you're visiting me from, because a record of which blog referred you is recorded for me to see. Many times a day I get visitors that surfed here after doing a search from various surf engines: Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Blogger. Sometimes I can even trace the search back to find out which terms were used in the search. (Approx. 5 people per day Google my full name to find my site. )
If you have this site bookmarked, I have no idea who you are or where you are coming from, unless you leave me a comment. Thank you to those who take the time to do that, I always appreciate it!
Anyway, I found out how to create a poll and post it here, so I am going to ask ALL of you who read this to tell me how you know me! Yes, even those of you who have never left a comment. Thanks.....hopefully I can get 100% participation on this one! (That means 100+ votes)
It was time to put a new banner up for one of my favorite holidays! Love this color scheme, too bad I hadn't done this one a few weeks ago so I could keep it up a little longer. Oh well. I finally learned how to capture an image of my computer screen. Pretty handy!
I skipped out on the Halloween parties this year. I love dressing up, but waited until the last minute to go looking for costumes and there just wasn't anything I liked enough to justify spending a ton of money. Plus, the annual party that friends Matty & Colleen have every year wasn't happening this year because they are in the process of building a new house. The other parties we knew of weren't hosted by people we know very well and there would not have been many people we knew attending. Hopefully next year we will start planning early.
Last night was also the WBL Class of 1996 10-year reunion. This was the grad class after me, but many of my friends graduated that year. Hope all of you girls had fun! Make sure to send me pictures :)
I hung out with Lanee a lot this weekend. On Thursday night she took me to a nice restaurant in Withrow, MN that we had never been to before, called Sal's Angus Grill. This place is less than 10 miles away from us, but it is a drive through the windy country roads to get there. The food was excellent and the atmosphere of the place was nice too (large log cabin and fire places, etc). We will be going back soon, I am sure!
Lanee also came over Friday night while I was scrappin'. She asked me if I had any stuff I wanted to get rid of.....I was like, what stuff? She says, "scrap stuff". This surprised me at first because I have never really known Lanee to be the crafty-type. She told me she wanted to make a wedding album, so I said, why wait? We have some pictures here now, let's get started! So Lanee sat down and did her very first scrapbook page, without any help from me at all. It turned out great! It makes me really excited that another of my close friends might want to participate in my hobby with me :)
I will scan and post the layouts sometime later today!
PS I hate that Day-Light Savings Time has ended. I hate it when it is dark out by 5:30pm!!!

You like this new banner and colors? Halloween has come and gone and I have been wanting to use raspberry and light green for awhile now....you also gotta love Ricky Martin and this hot new video! Thanks to April for reminding me how awesome this song is and not making me feel ashamed that I still love Ricky after all the rumors. I'd still let him rock my world!
On Saturdays I usually clean the house. Not today! Today was all about indulgence. Indulging my need to read (finished the 7th Stephanie Plum novel) and also indulging the scrap bug inside me. Trying to lessen the huge stack of pictures/papers sitting on my dresser. Got these two finished. Sorry for the pathetic scans! These colors are much more vivid IRL.....There is actually journaling in the 2nd layout, but you cannot see the pink writing :(
Going to have SukiYaki tonight and then hopefully watching Star Wars III later tonight!
**A new banner and some new colors for ya'll today!! The car is a new Shelby that I saw at the Auto Show last spring. Its on my list for when I win the Lottery!
Saturday was a very busy day with the wedding of my college roommate, Laura Blonde to her soul-mate Jeff, and then later the annual late-night Halloween Party of our friends Matt & Colleen. It will take some time to get through all the pictures and fix the red-eye, so I have decided that since today is Halloween, I will post some of the costumes people wore to the party on Saturday night. Wedding pictures will follow tomorrow (hopefully!)
Since attending Laura's wedding was my #1 priority, finding a costume was left to 5 minutes before actually leaving the house for Matt's party. I quickly decided to go as a Purple Mardi Gras Dame. Here is me with Enrique Iglesias
Here are party hosts Matt & Colleen.....a Nascar driver and his "trophy" wife:
This picture cracks me up....Rusty with some crazy get-up:
Hmm, next we have the "Gina"cologists:
Night Stalker and Captain Gordon:
And here is Foxy Brown!
*****
Matt's mom, her chicken friends and the Colonel!
This is Matt's sister......this costume is great!
And the most-last-minute-hardly- a-costume award goes to Chris, who went as Oprah:
Bob as Tom Selek:
Here I am with (Flower Child) and (Trailer Trash)
It was a fun night and we took advantage of the clocks rolling back an hour.....didn't get home until after 4am!
As much as I liked the old banner (me in Shelby Series 1 car) and the colors, it was time for something new! I guess I was feeling a little "sassy" today when picking out the pic and colors.....I am usually not a "red" kind of girl. I have also added a new latino-flavored song as my Video of the Day.
Hope you like!
I keep changing my banner and the colors on this Blog every few weeks or so....keeps it more interesting! This guitar banner I made on a whim last night....I noticed E had a small glass guitar sitting on his desk and thought "that would be a cool picture!" So I took the pic, manipulated it a little in Photoshop and Voila! I am sure i'll be sick of it in a few weeks, but isn't it fun for now??!!
It looks like I will be updating the look of this blog every few weeks...it gets boring to look at the same colors all the time! Thanks again to the talented Nicole for helping me out!
PS The new banner pic is my dad's 1960 Corvette. He's had it for 38 years now!
